Sanctuary of truth – Pattaya, Thailand

In Pattaya Thailand there is a tourist attraction called the sanctuary of truth which is well worth the visit. It shows religions and philosophies from all over the world and presents them in a traditional method of Thai building and architecture which makes it very attractive.

Post Vax, in the Rain! UGH!

Leaving Pattaya immediately after the vaccination was a MUST! I thoroughly dislike that town. It might be nice for beginning tourists/amateur tourists, but for people who want a nice beach experience and quiet life it is better to find another place. While driving out to find a place to stay in the quiet countryside the rain came down in big sheets. I had some plastic poncho to wear but that means going a slow 50 km/hour to avoid the wind tearing apart my plastic poncho.

Stopping to put on my poncho
on the way I was able to get a nice bowl of noodles and pork in a soup
Spider-Man really gets around
he is working for the local temple together alms
Even this little guy is asking for donations
On arrival at the countryside bungalow I took a Toscanello cigar break

The next day I moved on to Nakhon Nayok.

Had to stop wait for a large truck to rescue someone who had run off the road. There is no driver training in Thailand.
A nice breakfast of skinny noodles with pork balls and other pork product
I found an MK which serves very nice duck for dinner
Even kids like to drive fast

Now and on to Saraburi.

a very big breakfast, very tasty with coffee for only 65 Baht
A nice view from the hotel

Below you can see the same view during the evening on a long holiday with the festival goers.

The hotel owners bought cases of water to contribute to the temple festivities
Another duck dinner

Everyone’s talking about vaccinations

I spent two days doing the 6 Hour drive to arrive here to get my first Pfizer vaccination. Tomorrow I will get my second one
The steering handle assembly on my motorcycle was loose so I had a cuppa coffee while waiting the one hour for the shop to fix it under warranty. I kept my foot in the photo because my cousin likes feet in photos

You will find a superb Vespa dealership in Pattaya. Just look at the range of colors and designs
Meanwhile, back at the ranch (Koh Chang), the Honda dealer has switched from selling new bikes to selling used ones. That illustrates the poor economy.
While at the dealership this is someone’s problem, mud and water in the air intake area. He had problems. The service fellow was giving him a mental estimate on what it would cost to get his bike running again. Parts need to be ordered.
A friend is working on making a bike rack for his “bike” to put on his new “bike”. Isn’t English fun?

Day 2 – City Driving….OUCH!
