Bullfight in Valencia Spain

I am not a fan of bullfights like Hemingway but I wanted to introduce my friend to this part of Spanish culture. The link below explains the participants of the bullfight in detail.

Laos – fun

Monkeys are hanging off everything
Laos is filled with beautiful waterfalls
This is a large Thai group and their pick up trucks bringing everything they need to the Forest retreat

Food – Thai, Lao! Etc.

A variety vegetable salad with some noodles on the side
A very unusual assortment
Very nice vegetable and fish soups. They were very filling.
The sauces were very interesting. Some more spicy and some were very herbal
This grilled sticky rice was very delicious
We came here several times for their tasty noodle soup in Vientiane
Pseudo Mexican food but very tasty

Udon Thani – Thailand

At a famous temple where many people congregate often

Vientiane – interesting stuff

It’s nice to know that people are made from cups and should not smoke.
Available but few and far between sushi restaurants
Electric company people are real artists may be equal to Jason Pollock
Buffets are in abundance but it’s difficult to find one of quality
A Japanese chain restaurant, unknown in Japan, in a department store. Food was not bad.

This is very nice chicken rice. They use the chicken broth for cooking the rice.
Reminds me of North Beach San Francisco but a different kind of venue

Valencia Spain

Nice welcoming to Valencia
Reminds me of some photos I have seen of architecture in Mexico
Italian restaurants are everywhere and you can find good pizza in many places
Even this powerful cat (MANNEKI NEKO) turn welcoming you to eat ramen and assistant cat wishing you peace can be found in the city
The beaches are very long and the water is pretty clean
This was redesigned but originally was the local governors palace and offices
The ceiling here and in the next photo are the original parts of this room which were found some other place in the city and refitted here
Looking at the floor at a good angle gives a very nice perspective
We’re private meetings were held
This entrance was large enough to allow people on horseback inside though I don’t know that really happened but it is something that I learned at a palace in bologna Italy
Paella is the local food, may be considered the fast food of Spain but nice to have when you want something simple

Nong Khai on the Mekong

The predator moves faster by motorcycle

Nong Khai is a small town on the Mekong bordering Laos ad is the entrance to Vientiane across the friendship bridge. The people around the river call it the “Nam Kong” (“water Kong”j. The “me” in Mekong means ‘mother”.

Slow down for the cows on the road
It’s easy making new friends
Discrimination against my smaller engine bike
I don’t care about this discrimination. I don’t have a car
Have to stop for some duck
