At most family restaurants you can take your own bottle of alcohol and the restaurant was supply ice and mixer as well as water. There is no corking charge. You can also get a bottle of your favorite drink from the restaurant.
Within the 15 minutes it took to drink my coffee the air went from clear to field burning white smoky lung clogging junk in the air. People were probably burning plastics and other carcinogenic materials as well.
When you visit some temples they will give you these sheets of very very thin gold (24 karat) which you can press on to certain relics or statues
This is the crematorium within the temple, your last stop before your next trip.

Khao Yai

This national park is a very beautiful mountain and valley area good for camping, company or educational events, all sorts of nature related activities or just a drive-through. You can see all sorts of animals here if you are lucky. I saw some deer and many people will see elephants walking around.

Beach Fishing

Getting enough food to eat is a challenge for some people during this Covid crisis. Some people go to the beach, throw their nets in and catch some fish so they have something to eat with rice in the evening maybe with some vegetables. Here’s some men pulling in their catch from the beach.

Crazy Red Monkey

Here on Koh Chang the Red Monkey bar has been open for most of the Covid one year season and it has a nice pool table so that’s why I and some friends go to play in the evenings and have mini, informal, meaningless tournaments which we never remember and we especially don’t care who wins unless it’s a long winning streak and then we complain . We have people from Thailand and all over the world playing against each other but so far at this bar the best players are Thai.

Sometimes people come to have a party and it gets a little bit wild. This video shows what can happen when you’re having a good time. “Ting Tong” in Thai means something equivalent to “crazy” in English.

Klong Yai. The Long Southeastern Tail.

This little town is very well known as a tourist destination for Thai people. I’m not sure how popular it is with the foreign community. It’s such a long way from anything the surrounding area certainly doesn’t add too much to the attractiveness except that it’s by the ocean. The port used to be for trading and I guess for people staying here especially Chinese shippers and there is a very large Chinese temple here right by the water though the whole town is by the water and has several bridges going over a few canals which are very picturesque. I enjoyed riding around the town on my motorcycle which is about the biggest vehicle he would want to have on some of these narrow streets.

It’s kind of interesting to notice that most of the little motorcycles driving around here or Honda Scoopy. To put that in perspective the most popular motorcycle company here is Honda and the most popular size engines are the 110 125 mL. The most popular Honda model is the Click. The Scoopy main target is women of all ages. It has strong influence from Vespa and many of the features and designs are very cute. Well, the Scoopy is the most prevalent in Klong Yai. The dealer’s stock is, of course, dominated by Scoopy.

On the way I had to fattiest Nam Tok Moo, pretty inedible.
this is the narrowest place in Thailand. On the other side of this forest is Cambodia.
