Seaside Crete

in general the seascapes and seaside on Crete are really beautiful but don’t expect most of the beaches to be sandy. In fact you will find most to be very large to small pebbly. Most beaches you will want to be wearing sandals down to the edge of the water to protect your feet from the pebbles but whether there is some course sand you could find it’s extremely hot so be prepared. But the water is beautiful and generally very clear.

Heraklion port which is very close to the airport
At the port there is this large fort at the end of a long walkway
The speech was interesting because it seemed most of the pebbles had been eroded into flatness. So if you like skipping rocks on the water you will find a beach with millions of these flat pebbles Geropotamos
