Siena Cathedral

on your first or second trip to Italy you definitely need to visit Siena and definitely Siena Cathedral. this church is incredibly beautiful and provides a lot of interesting history since this is one of the great cities under the Medici control in Firenze. of course you can just walk around this beautiful city and spend a couple days too take in the uniqueness of a city built on a defensible hilltop.
