St. Francis’s Assisi

this place is famous for Saint Francis so if you’re interested in him or something related to him and the Catholic Church or the foundation of the Franciscan order, this would be a great place to visit. He is also entombed in the main basilica.

People may think this is a minor church but it has the tomb of a very young and early saint which is Kind of interesting
It was the 800th anniversary of the death of Saint Francis. I hope they are making an adjustment for the old and new calendar

Up in the main town on the hill the streets are medieval width
Here you can see some water coming out of a pipe. The water was traveling all the way down the city to the streets below. While I was there, after taking this photo, the repair people came to fix it, probably people from the water company. This is the police station in Assisi
And afternoon is not complete without gelato. I think this was just a two scoop, strawberry and lemon

This is where Saint Francis is in a cement coffin down below. You can visit the burial coffin and do your religious stuff.

The detail indeed books are really amazing. Look at what the fellow is writing. In the photo above you can see this little emblem is on the lower left corner.
