Near Okayama is a smaller town called Kurashiki which is known not only for its local handmade crafts, but also for the beauty of the old town, which is quite a tourist attraction. It would be good for you to visit this place and look at the different craft shops in the old town to pick up something as a gift or to keep for yourself. It’s a nice place to hang out for a couple days, and the food is very good.
